They’re looking for a NLP Team Lead who wants to work in an inclusive, collaborative, team-first culture - helping customers solve some of their biggest workforce challenges
As the NLP Team Lead, you will inspire, manage and mentor a small but growing ML team whilst also playing an active role in building Machine Learning/NLP capability, building a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and performance. In a varied role, you will be hands-on on developing and refining the NLP algorithms and infrastructure of the AI platform, applying SOTA NLP techniques to solve complex problems while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Whilst also leading a greenfield research project that aims to develop SOTA natural language processing models and applications, leading to the opportunity to publish your research as appropriate.
Responsibilities of the NLP Team Lead:
Building ML/NLP capability
Providing guidance and mentorship for other team members
Guiding how they build and scale machine learning operations
Leading a greenfield research project, using SOTA NLP models
Defining project scope and timeline, mitigating risks and ensuring milestones are met
Developing and improving models and the MLOps infrastructure
Communicating technical concepts and project results to non-technical stakeholders
Delivering the outcome(s) of the research project
Requirements of the NLP Team Lead
Have a solid background in machine learning with a focus on NLP
Have experience leading Data Science or ML teams and research projects
Be a relentless problem solver, understanding requirements and designing solutions
Have an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in building world-changing ethical AI solutions
Have excellent communication skills and be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Have experience working with large-scale data sets and distributed computing frameworks
Experience with implementing SOTA NLP research papers
Have experience working with Azure, AWS or GCP
