Midweight Media Strategist, London / Hybrid Working – £40-£50K (Fixed Term Contract 2-3 months with the option of going permanent)

This Midweight Media Strategist will see you play a vital role within a globally-recognised integrated agency who produce some exceptional behavioural change work. Here, you’ll be working on media campaigns which genuinely improve lives across the world.

We need a Midweight Media Strategist to plan, deploy and manage paid social and paid search campaigns (Linkedin /TikTok /Meta/ Google platforms) across a range of government, non-profit, NGO and international development clients. This role is initially a FTC position, ultimately going permanent.

We’re looking for people who understand some of the complexities of working with paid media around platform disclaimers related to social issues, ideally with global experience. If you have a little bit of commercial client experience in your past, even better.

This full-time role is based in London on a hybrid basis, 2-3 days in the office per week.

This Midweight Media Strategist responsibilities are:

- Developing and implementing comprehensive, integrated social media strategies in service of client objectives and KPIs across organic and paid channels

- End-to-end running (UK and global) paid media campaigns, including media planning, implementation, monitoring, optimisation and reporting across paid search, display and paid social.

- Effectively managing, allocating and optimising paid media budgets across channels, with budget responsibility

- Making in-flight optimisations and recommendations

- Delivering to senior clients, building trusted relationships

- Offering expertise on audience targeting, utilising an understanding of targeting approaches, optimisations, and implications across all key social media platforms

- Producing compelling narrative-led campaign reports, translating paid and organic performance data into accessible insights and actionable recommendations, determining overall performance and ROI.

- Applying thinking in leveraging paid and organic channels both together or independently to best suit the client and brief

- Developing paid media strategies to move audiences through the funnel/user journey

- Analysing client social media performance using native (e.g. social platforms) and third party tools (e.g. Brandwatch), and providing insights and recommendations for improvements

- Testing hypotheses and running insightful A/B tests

- Building and maintaining our working relationships with platform representatives and escalating issues where necessary


The qualifications and skills for this Midweight Media Strategist are:


- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or relevant qualification / experience

- Strong writing and editing skills desirable, with a creative and adaptable writing style.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to gather insights from data, and tell a compelling story with data

- Excellent research skills and attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Previous experience in social media management and digital marketing

- Proficiency with social media management tools & content management systems

- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities

- Active interest in social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to drive innovation

- Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Google, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn Ad platforms

- Competency with research and trends analysis tools, such as SEMrush, Brandwatch

- Data, analysis and reporting chops are a must

- Looker Studio/Tableau/dashboarding experience a bonus

- Global government/ Non Profit/ NGO experience/ UN Sustainable Development Goals highly desirable, as is an interest in geopolitics/ climate/ cybersecurity issues, a little bit of commercial client experience in your history, even better

- Experience of behaviour change campaigns a huge plus

- A working knowledge of SEO best practice

- An interest in geo-politics and international relations
